At the 5th Conference of the Association for Consulting Engineering (ZSI \u2013 Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia)<\/strong>, participants emphasized that successful construction projects rely on partnership-based cooperation<\/strong> between clients and consulting engineers, high-quality planning<\/strong>, and a stable and predictable regulatory framework<\/strong>. They also highlighted the decline in investments<\/strong>, the shortage of skilled personnel<\/strong>, and the urgent need for digitalization<\/strong>, including the integration of tools such as BIM, AI, and IoT<\/strong> into public procurement processes.<\/p>\n

Construction investments are in decline, and Slovenia is lagging behind in the absorption of EU funds. As a result, Slovenia recorded the largest GDP drop among EU countries in the first quarter of 2025 \u2013 a decrease of 0.8%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The conference\u2019s concluding message was clear: it is essential to restart investments<\/strong>, reform the public procurement system in consulting engineering<\/strong>, and recognize the value of quality over the lowest price<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
