In 2024, the Municipality of Piran successfully completed the construction of a new sewerage system, significantly improving environmental sustainability and the quality of life for residents.

Key Achievements of the Project:

  • Expansion of the Sewerage Network: A total of 4,039 meters of sewerage pipelines were installed, divided into 14 sections.
  • Environmental Benefits: The new system enables additional connections to the public sewer network, reducing the number of septic tanks. This is a crucial step in protecting the fragile coastal ecosystem.
  • Comprehensive Infrastructure Upgrades: In addition to the sewer system construction, local roads were renovated, and utility and telecommunications networks (electricity, water supply) were modernized.

This project represents a significant investment in the municipality’s infrastructure, ensuring long-term environmental protection and improved public health.
