At the General Assembly of the European Asphalt Pavement Association (EAPA), held in Berlin in April 2026, Slovenko Henigman was elected President of the Association for the next term.
His election is a recognition of his long-standing professional contribution to the road infrastructure and asphalt sector, as well as his active role in advancing the industry at the European level. As the founder and President of the Slovenian Asphalt Pavement Association (ZAS), he has been promoting the development and cooperation of the Slovenian asphalt sector for the past 30 years.
During his term, EAPA will continue to focus on strengthening cooperation with European institutions, reducing CO₂ emissions in asphalt production and paving, promoting asphalt recycling and the use of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA), supporting young professionals, and accelerating the digitalization and modernization of road infrastructure in line with the ASPHALT 4.0 vision.
His appointment as President of EAPA represents an important recognition not only of his personal achievements, but also of the Slovenian asphalt sector and its contribution to the European road infrastructure community.
